Personally, I think the RWR should keep on printing those letters. These folks have a right to their opinions just like anybody else. Plus, it’s highly instructive for those of us taking notes on how to write tight-assed, judgmental twits with major control issues.

There’s gold in them thar fucktards!

(Did I call them enough nasty names? Yeah, I’m still steamed over the “prostitutes” remark. I’ll get over it…eventually.)

I wonder if the moon is in a phase of ca-ca, pet. There seems to be asshattery afoot everywhere.

I’m having a thought-stand back.

Isn’t Inspy the hottest thing next to erotica? So there should be a few hundred thousand inspys to pick from every month right? If there are so many good upright tightly anal books for those readers to choose from, why are they moaning about romances with sex/erotica. Aren’t there enough in their own catagory to serve their needs?

And if they’re not happy there-why not? Maybe thereaders are looking for more than the sweet inspy serves?

Just say’n.

I’m not a member, Eva. I just follow the breadcrumbs to wherever they lead. This time they led to asshats and fucktards. Quelle suprise!

And yes, that’s where the whole “control freak” thing comes into play.

“I don’t read it, and I don’t think YOU should read it either. And if those sluts would only stop writing it, I could have my way.”

You understand that I hate like freaking BURNING that these are the idiots that wind up putting a public face on RWA?

Thing is, the sane ones? They’re usually busy, you know, WRITING.

*sigh*

men, for millennia controlled women by controlling their sexuality–turn this one into a whore, that one into an angel, get the best of both worlds…pole waxed on friday night and sunday roast on the table.

if controlling women through their sexuality works for men, then it works for other women. they raise themselves up by dehumanizing other women and branding them sluts. they control their daughters just like their mothers controlled them. and allowing a woman to have control of her own sexuality threatens the social standing and power of the women who have gained stature by controlling, subverting, etc., their own.

no wonder there are so many miserable acidic twats in the world

Not all inspirational romance authors are sitting on coals and turning them into gems. There are a few who are true people of faith and don’t judge others; some are good online friends of mine. All I want to ask is that erotica writers don’t automatically assume every inspy writer is uptight. I still write inspirational fic; and you know I’m not a diamond factory.

Ann said everything else in her comment better than I can, so I’ll leave it at that.

That was bad of me, I admit. I was miffed, but I shouldn’t judge all inspy writers by one, that’s true.

And Ann is darned near perfect, this is true.

OK. Can I just say that I am not overly fond of the F word – especially THAT version of it because of the squid-person who uses it constantly on another blog that shall remain nameless? Hate it. I mean – I do say “fuck” on occassion but the “tard” addon … it grates. If “retard” is off the list of words allowed (and it most definitely is) then “fucktard” should definitely die a miserable, politically correct death.

This has been your friendly neighborhood word police.

Carry on.

So I clicked through on Feisty’s blog to Lauren Dane’s video rants. Remind me to never ever piss her off.
